OVERVIEW
In 2023, Duolingo selected House of Yes and YES ETC to host, produce and curate their annual holiday and end of year celebration, “The Owl-idays” bringing together over 300 employees from the NYC and Pittsburg offices. To curate the evenings' entertainment, we drew inspiration from Duolingo's internal social activity groups and we created custom activations for #DuoGames, #DuoNails, and #DuoKaraoke, taking over the Onyx Room and Ruby Room. Meanwhile the theater was complete with aerialists, go-go dancers, and stilt walkers all soundtracked by the beats of NYC DJ boyyyish.

OUR MAGIC

• Appealed to introverted guests by curated custom activations that created spaces away from the dance floor

• Transformed the Onyx Room into a Board Game Lounge featured six different games each with their own host to facilitate play all evening long for the guests.

• Converted the Ruby Room into a Karaoke Club hosted by local performers

• Commissioned local nail artist to create custom nail art inspired by the company’s logo and brand colors for complimentary services

• Created owl costumes and headpieces inspired by the iconic Duolingo Owl

• Designed hand painted signage incorporating by the Duolingo characters and imagery
